Phil Hammon

About Me

Phil is a singer/ songwriter who creates melodic songs with a bit O edge driven into the underbelly of the soft pop genre. Phil's music is inimitable and has a sound that will sneak up on you when you least expect to be caught in the groove. The music is mostly rock guitar driven but there are moments when blues, country, funk and other genres creep in. Phil is mostly known as a drummer and has been involved as a session/tracking musician, theatre performer and various other roles behind the scenes. His drumming chops were heard across the nation during a United Way spot and subsequent tag that aired during the 1987 NFL season with singer Gary Puckett. His song "When You Come On My Way" was used exclusively as the theme and segment music for Showbiz AZ which aired in most of AZ in 2007 and the beginning of 2008. His songwriting skills received honorable mention in VH-1s Song of the Year Contest in the summer of 2007. The entire Phil Hammon catalog is available for licensing, syndication, movie or cover opportunities and specifics can be obtained by contacting [email protected] or Jammin' Hammon Productions.Phil is also a visual artist who has created many abstract pieces of art which have been sold around the world. There is an increasing demand for new Phil Hammon artwork and he is gearing up for a new era of original paintings plus the creation of afforbable posters and limited edition prints in early 2009.All this and a chief engineer for Arizona's only true independent TV station, KAZT, keep Phil a very busy individual.
