Bread et Roses

Left wing,chicken wing,it don't make no difference

About Me

Formed around August 2007, Bread and Roses is not interested in being reified as another puppet rock band to corporate America. Neither is the group interested in recycling (no pun intended) the same old self-guilt cliches about the environment and abstract concepts of universal peace and love. With the world as messed up as it has ever been, it is especially the responsibility of the artist to attempt to understand it, expose injustices through the idioms of art, and join others in the streets as the only means to creating a place worth living. In other words, the political is personal, and the personal is anti-political. Respecting the band's natural distaste for shameless long bios, particularly those written about oneself in the third person (guilty as charged :P), let us conclude by stating a very obvious fact: you can't make apple cobbler without apples.

Must Read!!! McDavid Crucified!

I guess Emma Goldman was right when she warned of the threat that the ignorant majority posed on the rest of us. I mean, even in Grad school I often hear my classmates say how great this democracy is ...
