It is not length of life, but depth of life.

About Me

May your world be free from the entrapments of mans concepts of maturity and immaturity and may the innocents that surounds you be the innocents of a world where love need not be spoken but rather lived. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate...Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to manifest glory within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.As we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others.

My Interests

I love learning about different cultures and trying new things. I'm always up for an adrenaline rush and in search of new ways to find one. I love whitewater rafting and rock climbing. I have been bungee jumping and skydiving and totally prefer skydiving. I can't wait to go shark diving. I am waiting to go to Africa or Australia for some clear warm water. I love fashion, music, and art. I also love to paint but hate to show people my paintings. I like to meet new people and learn about them. I tend to ask too many questions but I am just so damn curious... I think that once you are no longer interested in the world and the people in it you are dead, you just haven't lied down yet.

Music:

I know that it is so cliche to say that but I love everything. I can happliy listen to reggae, country, rap, rock, pop, folk, jazz, big band... I love it all.

Movies:

Playing by Heart is my favorite. I love love love movies of all kinds. Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Gia, Life or Something Like it (notice a trend here?). Frank Miller's Sin City is awesome, all of his "graphic novels" are clever. I'm in love with Robert De Niro and have every one of his movies. I really love Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, Once Upon a Time in America, Raging Bull, Casino (he is so great in this), Goodfellas, Analize This, Meet the Parents, A Bronx Tail (he is so multi-talented), Sleepers, so on and so on. The only DeNiro movie that I didn't love is Flawless, something about him playing a stroke victim taking singing lessons from a flamboyant gay character just doesn't do it for me. The Hunted, Scar Face, Before Sunrise, The Notebook, Beetlejuice, Edward Sissor Hands, Sleepy Hollow, I could just go on forever. The only thing is that I can't watch scary movies. It isn't that I don't like them or think that they are bad. I actually think that the craft involved in putting them together is amazing but I just don't have the nerves. I shreek and scream at the stupidest stuff. I almost had to walk out of King Kong... isn't that pathetic? I just can't handle it.

Television:

I am such a media junkie... I watch the news every night and become increasingly depressed while I pride myself on being "informed". Then I do the exact opposite and switch over to happy shiny people on MTV and indulge in mental numbness. My favorite silly show right now is Kathy Griffin: My life on the "D" List. I think she is so damn funny. I love the discovery channel, especially Shark Week even though sometimes it gets too scary. A&E, the History Channel, E!, Style, Travel, the Comedy Channel, the Food Network, any show where you can learn new things. I'm not really into sitcoms but I did love Sex & the City when it was on.

Books:

I haven't really read many books lately. It sounds soooo shallow but I am a magazine hoar. I am really in love with Zinc. Vogue of course, Allure, W, Western Interiors, Dwell, and Architectural Digest are my most frequent reads. The last book that I read was Freakonomics and it was pretty good. When I do pick up a book I prefer biographies.

Heroes:

Too many to name. Basically whenever I see any act of complete selflessness I am in awe. Anyone capable of that is my hero.
