About Me

Think of what you really love doing. What makes you who you are? I've spent some time evaluating myself- and i love who i am and what i do. I work for a company doing IT work and helping others. I have also (with the same company) drawn engineering detailed drawings for such projects as the Des Moines International Airport Parking Ramp, and Mercy Hospital Parking Ramp, as well as any concrete Bridge in Iowa. I take alot of pride in my work- and respect that my work often provides safety to those who frequent my work (traveling over a bridge or parking their car in a parking ramp). While that is my job, I also rely on my passion for seeing art come to life in other aspects of my life. I create, write, and play original music in a band. I've recorded several cd's with previous bands, as well as played in many venues throughout the Midwest. I am currently working with three other very talented individuals in a band called sinhinge. You can to sinhinge.com to check it out. It is definately some of the most fun i have had yet playing bass in a band- i get to explore all my options as a bass player and combine slapping, picking, and pulling all at the same time. Plus i play with my fingers (not a pick) the whole time- so i love it! My previous band was two different versions of Mindsplice. The original with Joni and Mike Lawler and Mark Loomis, and the second one with the late Kitty Jones, Jim Cateron, Billy Sevenberger, and Mark Loomis. We miss you Kitty. Before that i was in a band called 16 staples with Barry Miracle and Kris Stamp. I have a small studio at my house and have recorded a few demos and CD's for other Midwest artist's. I have also recently taken on home remodel as a passion- and completely renovated my 90 year old house into something a little more comtemporary without losing the nostagic touch. I still have many more home improvement projects to follow though. When i was younger- i used to compete semi professionally as a skateboarder, and a snowboarder. As i grew older i helped others gain experience in the skating world. Right now i love to Rollerblade, mountain bike, and snowboard- and enjoy a nice walk through the park on a sunny day. I love cars, all types, and have two that complete me right now- one to go fast and one to go anywhere (Nissan 300zx and Jeep Cherokee). I love going out and i love staying in to watch a good movie or listening to music.
