WHAT IS “JYEEveryone wants to know, what’s JYE? What’s all the hype about? JYE, also known as Junkyard Entertainment, is an inspiring, underground, hip hop label making their way to the top.
JYE is based out of Northwest, Ohio (419) and was created by pioneer members, Tyrone Morman and Bren’tel Weatherspoon. In the year 2000, at Fremont Ross High School, the members began writing songs and quickly grew a small fan base, making collaborations with many local artists.
While taking on new directions throughout the years, adding and losing members, JYE continues to discover their own style. Each member writes, produces, records, and mixes their own music. They pride themselves on being original, creating different beats, and writing lyrics that speak to themselves and their fans. While jeering away from writing about violence and drugs, JYE incorporates the modern day flashiness and dance of hip hop. They also incorporate other music genres, such as smooth R&B, with JYE singer, Terrence Jones.
As a label, JYE has made several CD’s and hundreds of songs. They perform about once a month and maintain in close contact with their supportive fan base. In 2009, JYE plans to send demos to major labels, get songs played on local stations, and continue to promote themselves, touring state to state. For more information, bookings, collaborations, merchandise, and/or beats, check out Junkyard Entertainment at www.myspace.com/junkyardent or email them at
