when tangent hillside broke up this song was left behind by the singer ryan. this is a post hillside recording of an old tangent hillside song. "they call this love," written by ryan and with chords for the chorus section written by kyle(trent resume), was produced by jacob thro(the bakerstreet irregulars) while the increasing chills and late december '04 set upon the shenendoah valley. ryan sings and plays guitars and effects, the rest of the instruments(piano, bass, and drums) were played by jacob. the live recording is from the "true love waits" concert at shenandoah university on valentines day 2005. charlie rauh(arclyte) plays acoustic guitar, jacob thro(the bakerstreet irregulars) plays piano, and ryan haldeman plays electric tremolo guitar and sings vocals. this is not a love song, it was written in the dedication to the idea that love is a hoax.
