About Me

When I was a little boy, I was listening to the radio and I heard an excerpt of someone saying,"This is just a fad, this isn't going to last" They were talking about rock and roll.. I was about 5 years old at the time. I thought to myself, Oh no!! music's going to go away! I was very worried. So I went to my mother and asked,"Mom? is music going to go away?" She laughed and smiled and said,"No Tom, music isn't going to go away" At that moment, music became my best friend. Something I could always count on... Music has never let me down. It lives in me every moment of every day. real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools

Influences: What first caught my ear as a child was early motown. Particularly the female torch singers of that era. "End of the world" by Skeeter Davis was ~the~ song that first hooked me. Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke and countless others dominated the airwaves at that time. Then... along came the Beatles... To this day I am still a major Beatles fanatic. I just never get tired of hearing those songs and every solo effort that came after. John Lennons' " Plastic Ono Band" is a very major influence. Led Zeppelin, Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young and of course Bob Dylan! Joni Mitchell moved me deeply and still does. She's on a pedestal all by herself... Cat Stevens! Has anyone ever made music more beautiful than that? U2 caught my ear in the 80's. One of the greatest rock bands ever. I'm also wild about Bjork!
