BATMANE DA GOD‘’TELL EM WAT MY NAME IZ’’ Screams the energetic 16 year old Cleveland MC. His name is Carlos Steele around family, but in the world, in the studio, and on stages his name is Batmane Da God. Steele started rapping when he was 11 years old out of pure interest and boredom, when he moved from the West side to E.105TH and Columbia Ave. (a frequent topic in many of his songs I.e. Uptown, Nutty, Piece of My Mind) because every dude in his class was rapping in the lunch room at his school at the time which was Franklin D. Roosevelt, so he figured he could do it to. So Steele started writing raps under the name Lil Los, but his girlfriend at the time gave him the nickname Batman because he was always climbing through her windows when her parents were gone. He quickly put an extra e on it for any future legal problems.
Before Batmane every recorded his 1st song he was a member of the short lived group The Hoodkingz but he quickly dismantled himself from them when he felt they didn’t respect his artistic expression among numerous other problems. He then in 2007 met Dee from Stack Or Starve who had connections to real studios and could put Batmane in them for free since they would cost more then his part-time car washing gig. But he said he would have to hear something that caught his ear 1st from the young MC. That happened to be around the time when some members from his old group started making diss songs about him. He decided to kill to birds with one stone and recorded Bigger Things Poppin’ a remake of a popular T.I. song in which he got back at his old friends and showed his lyrical humor, ability and prowess. This cemented him as a potential major player in this city with the right guidance in Dee’s eyes. So Dee handed him to local producer Book from Dragon Hill Productions where he made his 1st official song Uptown, Uptown off his long awaited debut CD The Prheshman Effect. After recording more smash songs like his single Go Harder, High School, and Toolie with a style of Cleveland, New School Swagg, and Southern Rap mixed together he started doing shows at local venues like Peabody’s, The Augora, The C-Level, and numerous talent shows at his school where he never disappointed on stage. Only 16 he is quickly making a name for his self in the city hopping on songs and aligning himself with local groups and acts all around the city such as Yung C, The Skeem Team, Dragon Hill, Undisputed ENT, Tae Harlem & Phresh Mobb, Dana Dane, Stunna Man & The Land Boyz, Wreckin Sqaud and he has even squashed the beef with D-nell from The Hoodkingz. So now he is trying to cement his name in the Cleveland rap scene for the moment until he sets his eyes on the rest of the world. So if you see him out in the city rapping in a group of teenagers, performing at a show, hear his song on myspace.com (myspace.com/batmanedagod105) or happen to hear him on a CD across the city he only ask one thing of you……………. Which is to TELLLLLL EM WATT MY NAME IZ!!!!!!
