BURNIN' THOUSANDS

About Me

The year is 1995. Local Delaware hardcore band My Body My Blood forms with Mark Palese on guitar, Ryan Jones on bass and Derek Mcginley on drums. The band creates a stir on the Delaware Hardcore scene, releasing two CD's and playing numerous gigs, catering mainly to the all-ages hardcore/punk scene. In 1998, the band is featured on "A Call for Unity: Hardcore Worldwide", a Back Ta Basics Records release. In 1999 My Body My Blood disbanded. Mark and Ryan join up with NYC Hardcore veteran Rick Ta Life in his band Comin' Correct. For two and a half years they tour heavily across Europe, and the Northeastern US, and release a world-wide acclaimed album on Triple Crown Record. Mark and Ryan gain the experience of billing with such acts as Agnostic Front, Hatebreed, Kittie, Skarhead, Murphy's Law, and Earth Crisis. Throughout this experience, Mark and Ryan dream of starting their own band- something with the energy of Comin' Correct and My Body My Blood, but with more room for melody and passion, some kind of new creation.Burnin' Thousands was formed in 2001 as the culmination of Mark and Ryan's idea for a new musical direction. To make this post-hardcore creation work, Mark transferred his astonishing guitar talent to vocals. The duo brought in Dave Feldhouse to play guitar and My Body My Blood alum Derek on drums. With their focus on writing inventive new songs, and perfecting their live act, the new band entered Clay Creek Studios in Newark, Delaware in 2002 with the help of producer Nick Rotundo (boysetsfire, paint it black) they record "The Last Day Of July E.P.".In 2004, we find Burnin' Thousands back in the hands of producer Nick Rotundo at Clay Creek recording their debut album for Zero Velocity Records. The album is entitled "What's Destined Shall Be". The album is 6 brand new songs of what makes Burnin' Thousands such a unique and uncompromising rock band. Not since post-hardcore crossovers Into Another has the world seen such a remarkable band like Burnin' Thousands.
