Hello All ^_^ The name is Maggie, but you can call me the Captain, of Magellan. I'm 20, Irish, and terribly random. I'll be moving soon! I'm going to school for Film, Graphic Design, and Photography, and I'm very excited about that! speaking of film, i LOVE film and theatre. On or off stage/camera, it does not matter, I love it all, and my dream jobs all involve either film production or theatre.I go to concerts as often as I can. I know i look small but I can hold my own in a mosh-pit! My friends and I realized that I have something we like to call 'band magic'. Every show I have ever been to has resulted in something epic happening with myself and the band ^_^ which I love! Honestly, I love hanging out with bands, they have the best stories to tell.I live on a lake, which is nice, that means lots of sun and swimming! The only down side is, being a red head, I burn very VERY easily! However, it's worth it to be a REAL red head!!! Since we're on the topic of swimming, I'll just throw in the fact that I was a swimmer for 11 years, and a good one at that!! However, it took up too much time, and messed with my theatre stuff, so I ended up dropping it during high school.I have been in multiple musicals, and have worked on my many of them as well, and plays. I have done everything (backstage wise) from costuming, to set building, to being a student director! It's all fun, but of course I like being on stage as well. My favorite musical ever is Sweeney Todd, and it has been since I was 8 (i didnt just start liking it because of Tim Burton's terrible remake! ya that's right, i went there! the only good part about the movie was Judge Turpin was well casted with Alan Rickman.) BUT as far as seeing a show live, I think the best live show would be Les Miserables. The music is amazing, the set is on a revolving stage, and well everything is amazing about it!While i prefer artsy things, I also get outside. I like to go hiking, ride ATV's, go to zoos (I love animals ^_^), and swim, and all that good stuff. I'm very much a summer person though, I don't care to go out much in the winter!Continueing on.... I'm a pirate...YARR!!! and wondering back to the subject of music, I like most everything but rap. Granted, there are some interesting rap songs I'll listen to, but for the most part I avoid it. I prefer punk, rock, metal, musicals, blues, classical, psychobilly, ect. Usually I just pop in a Throw Rag CD and go, or a Charlie Horse one, that's just as good! or maybe something from Edguy, Gogol Bordello, or Flogging Molly, I mean you can't really go wrong with those!I know I already said I like music, but I don't think people realize just how much I love music. If I had the money I'd be going to shows every night!! There are so many great bands I haven't seen yet, and so many great bands I just want to see again and again! Like Throw Rag! speaking of Throw Rag...you guys want a new washboard player? I can run around in my underbit playing a washboard with spoons! I know it wont be anywhere near as comical as when Jacko did it, but I'll do my best!! ^_^A few other little random bits about me would be....:
--Fave. animal: Lions & Cats (and i guess you could say Bun-Buns as well!)
--Fave. Color: Purple, Green, and I've taken a liking recently to neon-ish things....
--I have a White Cat named Scout!
--Best live show (band) I've ever been to: Throw Rag, Gogol Bordello, and Flogging Molly all playing at the same place, the same night! It's was AMAZING!
--I like attention. not in the annoying way though...i just like it.....I do...I'm not selfish, I just like attention....
