About Me

Diamonds in the Rough has partnered with the MDA to help children with Muscular Dystrophy attend summer camp!
Diamonds in the Rough is proud to debut some of the hottest up-n-coming artists from the Lehigh Valley! Diamonds in the Rough has been critically acclaimed to be one of the most innovative albums of 2008.
Some of the most talented artists and producers from the Lehigh Valley have been working on this project for a little over a year. With all of its' unique sound and urban core, Diamonds in the Rough is sure to shine a bright light on the Lehigh Valley. In addition, the Diamonds in the Rough album will also donate one dollar out of every CD sold to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. From the beginning, one of the main goals of this album has been to help and create awareness to the various charities and community service projects in the Lehigh Valley.
Josh Allen:
A young soulful up-and-coming singer/producer changing the face of modern music. His songwriting ability is far beyond his years, and some describe him as being an old soul trapped in a young body. While working on his own debut album, for which he is a co-producer, he has been collaborating with other artists in the ABE area. Josh Allen's determination and passion for music is evident from the first note to the very last.
Tug McRaw:
Is the son of a Blues singer and was literally raised by music. He's been rhyming and writing his own lyrics since age 11, performing since age 16, and has been inspiring the minds of his listeners since day one. Whether book smart or street smart all agree Tug McRaw is one of Hip-Hops best in the Lehigh Valley.
Marissa Leah:
Was born in the lower east side of Manhattan, NY. In 1990, she then moved to the Lehigh Valley where she was raised for the most part. Growing up she struggled with fitting in, being a tomboy and being the one to take care of her family. She realized that she had great passion for music and a talent that was undeniable; she had to be a part of that. Music was her only escape from her world. She states that, "I want to create music that people can relate to, music that is real and from my own experiences!"
Ty Whit:
A Brooklyn, N.Y. native who went through as much struggle and hardship in his domestics as he did growing up in the streets. Trying not to allow him to follow in the footsteps of his parents, his grandmother moved him to PA, where music became his outlet. He started by expressing his thoughts through poetry, which progressed into rapping and writing songs about his struggle. As he developed, he found himself immersed in all styles of music. Through the motivation of his family and peers his life became something to talk about.
Billie Monroe:
Originally from a little town called Bethlehem, but has been living in Los Angeles, CA for about two years. She is a producer, MC, singer and writer with a creative and unique sound which she describes as Hip-Hop fused with Experimental. You have to hear it to believe it.
J-Mal:
Was born and raised in the rough area of St. Thomas, US Virgin Island. At the age of 14, he decided to move to Bethlehem, PA where he had greater opportunities to better himself; and where he was introduced and surrounded by Hip-Hop. Trying his best to fit in he began writing and recording music. While greatly enjoying his new experiences he realized his heart and talent lay in Reggae music. J-Mal's style is mostly Dancehall with a touch of Hip-Hop.
Qbah:
Passionate, expressive, and creative are some of the words that peope have used to define the mind and sound of the artist/producer known as Qbah. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley on the Southside of Bethlehem, he learned to fuse the different worlds of Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, and Rock to create the explosive sound that is Qbah. He is also co-founder of BMR Music Enterprises LLC, a company solely designed to create innovating and revolutionary productions.
G.C.S.:
Currently residing in Allentown, PA, the members of G.C.S. were born and raised in Puerto Rico, which fed their knowledge of the culture, morals, and values. They each bring a totally different personality to the table creating an explosive sound. The group is made up of brothers Gordy-Dee (Danny Rodriguez) and Cano (Wesley Rodriguez) which has been influenced by their father's ability to play instruments and their mother having danced with a Spanish group. The members have brought together different talents which are making a huge imprint in the Reggaeton and Spanish/English Hip-Hop genre.
