About Me

As if being born in an elevator isn't dramatic enough, behind a microphone is the only place Annette feels at home...life of a rockstar through and through. Growing up, it was Southern Gospel music with her family traveling and singing at churches throughout the midwest. It wasn't until college that she discovered rock. After being trained classically and in jazz, she gained an appreciation and understanding of music but never quite fit. Degrees in hand, as useless or helpful as they may be...she found Crossover. A cover band that made her local connections and experience in the bars. However, this didn't last...she needed more...to perform her own music. Then, a short lived original rock band led her to believe that rock was where she was meant to be. So, the decision came to leave the corn fields of Ohio behind. Now, in Nashville she is a member of Plex, a house band for Chase's Sports Bar and Grill in Goodlettsville, TN. She also writes and does as many writers' nights as her schedule allows. The latest news in her musical life is the birth of a new kind of rock and roll for Nashville...the formation of the band Self Contained Suicide. The songs on this page are originals written by and performed by Annette and her friends. Hope you enjoy![LOVEMYFLASH]
