Smoke Star was the powerful opus that was masterminded by guitarist, Steve Ladagona and bassist, Chigger. Ladagona was no stranger to the business, though. His former band was signed to LTS Records, which was financially backed by Vince Neil's Bad Bones Inc. Unfortunately, LTS Records folded and so did Steve's band. It was then that Steve decided to embark on his vision that would include Chigger. Together this dynamic duo wrote songs, while in the process of searching for the right components of what would become known as Smoke Star. Rounding out the line-up is drummer Scott O'Ferrall, a really talented musician and a hard hitter on the drums. Scott played drums in one of Steves first projects. And then there's the voice of Smoke Star, Jamez Bennett, whose melodies and vocal ability really impressed the band after they held a grueling, American Idol-like audition process. Together, Smoke Star displayed the epitome of hard work, talent, incredible songwriting, and unbelievable stage energy that most unsigned bands can't top! If you need proof, you should see what they did with the Speed Cult Side Show, where they turned a local band showcase into a tattoo and freak show extravaganza. Smoke Star was even invited to Detroits Motor City Music Conference in 2005 to showcase what they have to offer to the music industry. The response to Smoke Star's music was unbelievable!
