About Me
Band Bio:
Sure they joke around a lot, but the members of the melodic-rock-punk band from Central Jersey, From Day One, are definetly talented and fully committed. Started in February of 2002, the band came together when former front-man of Not All There, Cory Danco (25 years old) combined his over 12 years of lead guitar experience and song writing with cousins, Chris Oghia (23 years old - bass) and Brian Troland (19 years old - drums). The band released an EP entilted "For the Win," with songs like Broken Record and A Normal Life (playable on this site). Not being the types to simply settle, Cory, Chris, and Brian decided to add an additional guitarist. Brian Rodak's (23 years old - guitar/back up vocals) name was at the top of the list. His harder edge complimented the band's already in-place pop-punk melodies. What you're looking at today is a combination of styles all gelled into one melodic, hard, punk experience. From Day One has been featured on Seton Hall Pirate Radio and Rutgers Radio. They have played sold out shows at venues in New Jersey and Maryland like The Stone Pony, Recher Theatre, The Saint, Club Khrome, and others. Nothing however, stands out more than the 2004 New Jersey State-Wide Battle of the Bands held by Jersey Shows. Out of 478 entrants in the contest, From Day One finished in 8th place. They were the only band in their genre to make it to the semi-finals. One judge remarked after the final 16, "I don't get it. They are the youngest band still left in the battle and they are the most relaxed and confident. Every month they seem like the underdog and every month they prove people wrong."
