A BIOGRAPHY TAKEN FROM AN OLD INTERVIEW
DASECT born as a band in the summer of 1999 when Tony and Chris decided to set up a kick ass band to clear from all the emo shit bands tha Italian scene. Tha band starts its activity in march 2000 when Ste Tarantola, Nik da Rock and Seriata Dasa join tha band.
We have played several shows down here in Italy and then we have change our line up because of many problems with old line up, so TEO join the drums, GIAN plays the giutar and BRANDON manage the bass. We have recorded a four tracks promo cd which has helped us into find a couple of labels which seem to be interested into what we had to say. These labels are: BACKSIDE records who actually reprezent for us here in Europe and LCN records (La Cosa Nostra) who keep care of us in the USA and Japan. These two label will release our first effort named "BOROUGH HEAVYWEIGHT". Here in Europe it will be out the 5th of march as a limited 7"ep (with 4 tracks) and as a mcd
which contain also a live cover from mighty BULLDOZE.
In the USA and Japan "BOROUGH HEAVYWEIGHTS" will be relased just as a mcd with two bonus tracks (the same from BULLDOZE and
another one from DEATH THREAT) and a completely different artwork.
Tony write all DASECT lyrics, which reflects he's personal thinkin' on
various topics like: lifestyle, friendship & loyalty, livin' poison free and
other actual arguments.
Musicwise DASECT is strongly influenced by many NYC hardcore bands like:
DEATH THREAT, BULLDOZE, FURY OF FIVE, SKARHEAD and old ones like OUTBURST & life's blood. Also the band have an hip hop flava in tha vein of CYPRESS HILL, OL' DIRTY BASTARD and other rap stars.
We aren't a Straight Edge band (just some of our members are) but we
livin' poison free and we rezpect each livin' form on earth and we ever
strugglin' for its freedom. On the other hands, we don't give a fuck if
someone smoke or drinks at least he don't fuck us up: "eye for an eye" is
one of our biggest belief.
We also really like to see the kids goin' mad into tha pit: we love to see
violent tricks in the pit, 'cuz we really think the violent dancing is
related with real hardcore stuffs and a big part o' tha hardcore world.
