About Me

Through the years of offering training to individuals, Sifu Scott Shields has trained over 40 people to championship level. He has also trained people from different governmental agencies, such as law enforcement personel including State Troopers, Defensive Tactics Intsructors, SWAT, FBI officers and Secret Service. He has also trained members of the Navy Seal teams, Army Rangers and Special Forces.

Welcome to Scott Shield's Martial Arts Academy (SSMAA). Since its inception, SSMAA has proven itself to be a leader in the Charlotte, North Carolina area for teaching self-defense and protection in an easy-to-learn manner. Classes are available for children, teens and adults. With arts ranging from Jeet Kune Do (JKD), Kali, Silat and Jiu-Jitsu, everyone is certain to find something that matches their needs.
