Kaylee was born on September 23, 1986, and by the time she was 8 years old she was performing in musical theater productions. Kaylee continued working in the theater at Desert Christian High School until 2003 -- when she decided to leave school to pursue a professional career as an actress.
In 2004, Kaylee received her first bit part on the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh. Her career quickly gained momentum in 2004, as she made appearances on North Shore, Quintuplets and The Mountain. Kaylee made her film debut in 2005 in the Nick Cannon feature Underclassmen.Kaylee next landed a prominent role on the television series The War at Home, and while she claims that she is nothing like her character on the show, she enjoys playing the part.“I was raised in a really strong Christian home with my parents’ strong moral values, but it's so much fun because this character is so opposite of anything I've ever known,†she says. “It's so much fun to be this snotty, bratty, sassy teenage girl.â€
Kaylee also considers The War at Home a comedy series that aims to poke fun at life, although the show has received bad press from parent organizations. “I realize that the things we discuss on this show are often controversial, whatever that means nowadays, but you got to laugh,†she says.
Kaylee also scored a supporting role in Flicka (2006); a film that focuses on taming a wild horse and stars country music singer Tim McGraw. “I play the girlfriend of Ryan Kwanten,†she says. “Alison Lohman, Ryan and I get together to help get the horse back.â€
