i like movies a lot. especially if they have giant animals or insects or monsters taking over the world. i do not like movies with talking animals or babies that are made to look like they are talking, unless of course they are cartoon--then thats cool. my faves are: my neighbor totoro & xanadu. i fully have a crush on klaus kinski. venus in furs, wickerman (1973), dracula, nosferatu. barbarella. pee wee's big adventure.

Books:
laura ingalls wilder series, all time fave: the lion the witch and the wardrobe. recent stuff: teacher and art teacher books, kids books about art and artists. things that inspire an art lesson such as: books on mythology and mythological creatures or contemorary design. catalogs from gallery shows: bridget riley. sketchbooks mostly.
Heroes:
wonder woman, oh not super heroes. my sisters and brother, my grandma, my aunt. women that raise awesome kids by themselves, men that raise awesome kids by themselves, kids, artists who are good and make it, musicians--its all magical to me b/c i cant do it and dont understand it- and its emotional and life changing. good teachers. parents of disabled children.
