Septeto Son Caliente comes from Havana, Cuba and is rooted in Afro-Cuban style. Interpreting traditional music in original and energetic arrangements the powerfull sound is crossing towards bigbeat. The core members of the group gained more then 20 years long experience with concerts in clubs and festivals in Cuba as well as during several artistic collaboration around the world. Son Caliente reached Czech Republic in December 2005 for the first time and after lots of struggling, changes and transformation settled and have been living in Prague. Their life stories create their music.Son Caliente captivated local Czech/Slovak audience. In Prague, their momental home town, there are regular concerts of theirs at latin clubs and music bars (Tropison, Rosa Negra, Metropol, Chateau). After short period of presence at the new market they managed to penetrate into many music events and festivals: Colours of Ostrava, Colour Meeting PoliÄka, Febio Fest, Habrovka, Havana Club Cocktail Show, One World, International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, La Fiesta, Latin Fest Brno, Summer Film School Uherske Hradiste, Music on Film - Film on Music, Holiday in TelÄ, Reggae Fest, Zafest and many more. Many times they presented their talent to club music scene audience at famous Prague clubs (Roxy, Radost FX, CrossClub) and around Czech and Slovak Republic. In 2006 Son Caliente participated in the international music project under production of Czech Television called "Pandurango" broadcasted in national TV station. Spontaneous and powerful showcase filled up with fast beat, rhythm, emotions, movement and improvisation brings enriching uplift.

Band Members: Pedro Argelio Guevara Torres (Cuba) - singer, song writer, percussionist, artistic director. experience of 20 years of singing in different music groups in Cuba, Angola, Etiopia and Switzerland.

Mario Herrera Marsillan (Cuba) - vocals, guiro, travelling over 30 years with numours Cuban musicians across Cuba, Canada, Spain, France and Italy.

Amador Julian Hernandez Ordonez (Cuba) - bass guitar, music arrangements, graduated at Leipsig Conservatoire in Germany, 22 years of music experiences from Europe and North America in concerts and also afro cuban music & dance choreography workshops.

Manuel Guara Colas (Cuba) - trumpet, percussion, vocal, over 30 years of concert experiences with Cuban groups back home, in Mexico and Europe, was recording with national and international labels, collaborating with Cuban television and radioi.

Stefano Antonio de Paula (Brazil) - piano, graduated at Conservatory Sao Paulo..s Centro de Artes e Esportes, dep. of traditional and popular piano, since 1999 had been performing in several brasil and latin projects: Soweto, Toke divinal, Muleque travesso, Koisa boa, Hl3. Since summer 2007 member of Son Caliente.

Michal BolÄo alias MIKIKONGA (Slovakia) - conga, percussion, studied percussion with Brazilian and African masters, played in front Slovakian latin group MANGO MOLAS and collaborated with projects of Damanalop, Midapajomi, Banditos, Lord mayor idiot, PARAPACHA MAME. Since summer 2007 member of Son Caliente.

Tony Benedek alias Tony-B (Slovakia) - timbales, percussion, drums, professional drummer working with front Slovakian and foreing pop, jazz and latin bands (ElÃ¡n, Richard MÃ¼ller, Yvonna Sanchez, Å vihadlo, CaÃ±aman. Founder of Banditos. Since fall 2007 member of Son Caliente
