Cliche Guevara

About Me

Cliche Guevara as an idea has existed for around two years now, as an outlet to the songs that Richie couldn't find a space for in Cracked Actors or in his solo sets. Employing fellow Cracked Actor Tim Bali on drums and ex-Klopek and all 'round hairy chap Kris on bas, Cliche Guevara practiced sporadically, and then not at all. And the Kris went away somewhere, and doesn't appear to ahve come back (I've still got your bass, by the way bro). At some point during a Cracked Actors practice earlier this year, Tim and Richie noticed that there was a perfectly good bass player standing right inbetween them, so threw a bag over his head and dragged him into a coal cellar, where he has been forced to listen to "White Man In Hammersmith Palais" and "Time Bomb" ever since. About a month ago Cloche Guevara finally got round to practicing on a regular, weekly basis, and within no time at all have cobbled together what will doubtless go on to be considered by many to have become songs. Things, as Tony Blair said in 1994, can only get better. The recordings above are just demo's done by me (Richie), for Paddy and Tim to listen to. I'll be taking them down as soon as there's something to go in their place.

Kris has gone. I think to Japan. I really should keep track of my band members more closely. Until he comes back, I guess I'll do a few more acoustic tunes. Everyone say  "Hurrah" like you mean i...
