Steve & Connie Hughes

About Me

Steve (USA) and Connie (Northern Ireland) have been involved in music all their lives.
Steve taught himself to play piano and began writing music when he was 14. He toured internationally for 6 years full-time and has recorded and/or produced 8 different albums. Lately his music has been played on radio stations around the world. He has just accepted an NCM Radio Mic Award for the third year running.
Connie is a classically trained pianist who began teaching when she was only 14. She still teaches music privately, is a music tutor at Stranmillis University in Belfast and heads up the music program in her local church. She has composed a number of 'classically themed' hymn arrangements and has one solo instrumental album to her credit.
Although Connie has sung on some of Steve's previous recordings, SWEET SURRENDER is their first album of duets.
Steve and Connie have two teenage daughters, Shannon and Bethany, and they live in Lurgan, Northern Ireland where Steve has been pastoring the local Church of the Nazarene since 1999.

HERE'S WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT 'SWEET SURRENDER'
“Highly devotional and yet highly radio-friendly.... there’s plenty of toe-tapping fun and aggressive skill set in the most likeable stylings. Commendable project, attentive-retaining from start to finish.” PAUL DAVIS, NEW CHRISTIAN MUSIC, England
“70..s vibe... good lyrics and good piano playing. Some of the songs sound like real classics.” KRISTIAN SELAN, BIG STREET, Sweden
“An accomplished effort ... heartfelt lyrics over catchy piano lines and Connie’s backing vocals both compliment and add depth....much more than just your standard Christian fare” GRAEME COUSINS, LURGAN MAIL, Northern Ireland
