I appreciate movies that make me feel and laugh: a tragicomedy will get me every time (if it's well made, and well played). Movies to take onto a desert isle: BBC production of Pride and Prejudice, Much Ado About Nothing, Snatch, Eternal Sunshine, Royal Tenenbaums.
There are few moments during my day when I don't miss the Greg Kinnear Talk Soup, Kids in the Hall, and MST3K with Joel. The Office, Earl, Grey's, and 60 Sunset Studio.
Mysteries and historical fiction. I'm in the middle of "Wanderings" about the history of the Jews, "Bonfire of the Vanities", a biography of Charles Lindberg, and "London". Wow! Oh, and I LOVE National Review.
