Black Star Community Bookstore' open mic series has been expanded!!! The Poetry open mic which was previously held just on the 3rd Friday of every month is now on the 1st as well as the 3rd Friday!!! Hosted by DRIZZLE, a rising Detroit poet, this series hopes to be a platform for creative and progressive expression amoung local artist in addition to providing an outlet for their work to be sold!!! Our Hip Hop open mic which was previously held just on the 4th Friday is now on both the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month!!! Though in search of a new host this series continues to be the stomping ground for some of Detroit' most talented emcees and producers!!! Featured artist will be showcased every 3rd and 4th Friday in addition to the normal open mic!!! There is a $5 cover and we rock hard from 9pm-12am!!! The time is now for local artist to begin to support and network with eachother.
