Jair Coelho

BIOGRAPHY
Jair Coelho is an accomplished singer, composer and guitar player. With a vast performance and recording experience, he recorded three albums with his own group for CBS Music and Continental Record, and appeared in several music festivals, concert theatres and TV shows all over his country.
In 1988, he relocated to the U.S. and continued his solid career in Miami, where he had the opportunity to record on Julio Iglesias CD “Calor” in 1992. He also recorded with the renowned jazz harpist Roberto Perera on the CD “Seduction”. He had an opportunity to rerecord a verse on Steve Wonder’s hit song “I’m Singing” in Portuguese (Vou Cantando).
Jair has established himself in New York City since 1996 and he is distinguished for his great groove on guitar, improvisational skills and a rich swinging voice.　His solo CD “Uma Voz Um Violao", was released by JC Music in January 2005.
　
He also plays cavaquinho and mandolin with numerous samba bands.
