DEAR FELLOW TRANCE HEADZ,
WE ARE GENEPOOL AND THIS IS OUR STORY!!!!
Genepool are a father and son Live Psychedelic Trance act (Shane and Jherek Constable) from Kenmare, Co. Kerry, in the South West of Ireland. Orginally from England we moved to Ireland 15 years ago and it is now our home.
Their musical interests go back a long way. They are both drummers, Shane played drums in a few bands in the late 70's & early 80's their styles were psychedelic rock, their influnences came from Pink Floyd, Gong, Hawkwind, Steve Hillage and other acts alike. Jherek currently plays drums and bits of percussion with a couple of bands in Kenmare. He has also been djing psy trance at local parties for quite a number of years. He has also been heavily influenced by psychedelic rock, but has evolved his interests into psychedelic trance, which, he stumbled on in the late 90's. He got his dad into listening and he was quickly caught by the trance. Together they slowly started to try and make psy-trance. Using their percussive knowledge and understanding of sound, with also the help of one of their good friends Ajja Leu of Peak Records they started developing their own unique blend of psy-trance. They have played at a number of parties and festivals around Ireland and Europe Along side well known artists in the Psychedelic scene, like AJJA, YAB YUM, HALLUCINOGEN, HYPER FREQUENCIES, COSMOSIS, KALA, YUDISHTIRA, DJ KETIL, Just to name a few. We have played at The LIFE FESTIVAL 07 and 08, ANTARIS PROJECT 08, MISTERIKA FESTIVAL Crimea Ukraine 08 Parties in Germany for the Traumfanger organiser Tschan. Plus many parties in Ireland for the Life festival organisers Neutronyx. We love making music and performing, it is a great feeling to create a mystical experience on the dancefloor, and the main thing for us is to have fun and enjoy what we do PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL
ALL OUR HARD WORK IS PAYING OFF BECAUSE OUR GOOD FRIEND AXEL ( SYNCRONIZE RECORDS ) IS GOING TO RELEASE OUR DEBUT ALBUM LATER THIS YEAR ON HIS LABEL. THE COVER ART WILL BE DONE BY OUR LIFE LONG FRIEND ADAM.
