Maybe This Friday

About Me

Maybe This Friday would like to thank all the fans who attend their shows. We appreciate it enormously (Y). Our debut "mini album" is available at www.cdbaby.com/cd/MaybeThisFriday, iTunes, Amazon mp3 or from the band and from Music Mania in Hanley.
Maybe This Friday started gigging January 2008, with our first gig at The Glebe, Stoke. The following week we played our second as a support slot at The Sugarmill. From then on we have played at almost every venue around Stoke and are now regular headliners at The Sugarmill. We took a coach load of fans to watch us at the Manchester Academy and have played venues in Birmingham.
We are possibly most known for our catchy songs and set-up. Songs such as 'Never Say Anything' and 'Bangkok Loves You' define our style as an indie-rock band, but more lyrical songs such as 'Arkward Hand' and 'Ghost' show a darker side to the band. Most inspiration is taken from our lives and messing around with our instruments and most songs are written from one main idea passed around between each of us until it is perfected and has input from us all.
Another notable part of the band is our stage-presence. Shirt and ties with skinny jeans show us to not only play an instrument, but also play the showman. We never stand still at a gig and you are always shown that the music is truly our own.
We have many upcoming shows and competitions and appreciate everybody's support. We hope to see you watching us. (:

SUGARMILL REVIEW 17/12/2008

Maybe This Friday are something else again. With a female vocalist and much more in the pop/rock vein, Maybe This Friday put me very much in mind of Blondie; the songwriting style included. Lois Steve...
