Being born and raised in South Boston, Ma, Markiss grew a great appreciation for music at a young age. Influenced by such artist as 112, Justin Timberlake, James Taylor, Guns and Roses, New Edition and Tupac, Markiss knew he wanted to be as much of a part of music as music was a part of him. Markiss started taking music seriously in the Summer of 2007, when local Boston MC, Skip D, introduced him to Dennis Dunphy, Man Terror, and the rest of Soul Estate Records.
