Welcome to our Thrash and Trash Garage Band site. Our band has been around for many years under many different names such as the Bulloch County Ditch Dogs and The Southern Badass Boggy Boy Band. The Disciples of Roy pride ourselves on our straight forward, hard hitting Punk Metal sound. When we first got back together, it was just for a night of hard rock, beer and Jack Daniels. We thrashed thru some of Matt’s songs and decided we still liked jamming together and should record what we could. The intent of the music that was generated from these sessions was just pure fun and Rock –n- Roll!! Though limited by the equipment we had, we recorded our songs live. We liked it that way, so there it is….
We were not out to impress anyone, get a gig, or start a drive to a record contract.
We just wanted to rock and didn’t give a shit about what anyone thought about us. We were pretty proud of Matt for stepping up and taking over the singing for the band. He was reluctant, but like the trooper he is, he jumped on in. Matt is the genesis of our music, so it was natural for him to take on this task. Any rocker out there will tell you its tough to do double duty, to sing and play guitar. Franky and I think he pulled it off just like we like it, raw and hard hitting. We are pretty proud of the “Goon†Franky for learning the bass riffs so quickly and laying the foundation for us to jam. His energy and drive are what makes us thrash forward with our own sound. Rock on you Goonie bastard!! The guys, of course, dig my drumming style, cause I rock dammit!!Love us or hate us, whatever….we just wanna ROCK…and we don’t care…!!!So, Rock the Roy….and Turn it up Y’all !!!
