Чуждо Небе videoSafo was formed in 2001 by guitar player Miroslav Ivanov. Soon afterwards the band got impressive media recognition and was proclaimed one of the most promising rising stars of Bulgaria's pop/rock scene. The start to success was given when Safo won the 2003 Discovery Award at the annual ceremony of one of their country's leading radio stations, BG Radio. A year later the quintet's full-length studio debut album "Circle of Dreams" was released by Harbor Island Records. In 2004 Safo were honored with BG Radio's Band of the Year Award, while their hit-single "Desert Land" topped the official chart of the Bulgarian National Radio. Dozens of live performances all over the country followed, as well as some serious line-up changes... In the very beginning of 2006 Safo presented their new vocalist Igor Shabov and a brand-new track entitled "Land of Regret". A bit later, in the end of April, the guys recorded a version of the song just mentioned in Bulgarian (bearing the title "Chujdo nebe"), and hired Stain Studio's mastermind Geppy to direct a video for it. At present Safo are working on the songs for their forthcoming second full-length album...
