Too Sophisticated is a glam/ hard/ sleazerockband, which is formed in the early 90s in Seinäjoki, Finland by three totally losers and drunk friends, Raise, Juffe and Mike DeLight. In the beginning Mike played bass but soon the ugliest punkrocker of the whole Finland, Viki Rock, joined band as the bassplayer and Mike started to play poor guitarriffs along with Raise. Those guys played couple of years (or was it months? Who cares) together and tried to find a singer for their band. Finally they found the right guy for this suspicious job,Sativa Sunrise, from a smoky bar, after many lousy singers were tested. Sativa was simply crazy enough to join the band and the line-up was nailed down. After that the line-up of the band have been the same, although Juffe was replased by Kossu in the mid 90s about ½ year, when Juffe was at a rehab and he couldnt play drums at that time. In the mid 90s Too Sophisticated were ready to rock and they started to play gigs and did some demoes and people loved them and even critics gave good estimates for them. However, the time was not right for a traditional rockband in the middle of era of grunge and Too Sophisticateds share was to play for very limited audience. In fact the things go on the same way for Too Sophisticated today as they did over a decade ago. However Too Sophisticated have their own loyal fans who know and understand the crazy world (and great music and wild liveshow) of Too Sophisticated. So it is not exaggeration to say Too Sophisticated is the smallest cultband of Finland. The first real publication of Too Sophisticated come out 1996 when "Like A Dog"/ "Mighty Delight" 7" was released. 1998 come out "Finnish Rock N Roll Freakshow 98"-collection, in which Too Sophisticated plays three songs. After those records Too Sophisticated have released three CD..s. "Shut Up Sit Down" (2001), "The Sweet Kings Of Rock N roll" (2005) and "The Art Of Making Noise" (2007). And more stuff will come out in the future. The journey have only just began...
