I am a giant from a small Wisconsin town. I learned to be invisible. Then I learned to be opaque. I am intelligent non-stuff. I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. I have silenced my internal dialogue, yet I indulge like a motherfucker. I have dropped ashes on the Buddha. I live in a holographic universe. My mother is Mitochondrial Eve. My father is the mold of man. Music is my alchemy. Words are my playground. I am deeply stunned by the profundity of my occasional shallowness and yet nonplussed by my usual depth of compassion. I am a goofy bastard. I am the butt of my own jokes. I am in everyone else's shoes all the time. I was rich, then suddenly very poor. In each case I found I was still me. I am a conduit for energy. I am a stained-glass window for the light to pass through. I am a sludge-clogged filter making the water spit and sputter. I am whatever I decide to be. I am a contradiction, vast and containing multitudes. To say, "I am" says too much.
