Stonecraft

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator The early beginnings of Stonecraft would find itself when then Solo Artist Ayce the the Prohfit found himself performing at Skully’s late Sept of 2006. Not really wanting to do the slot by himself he turned to long time friend & equally Solo artist at the time Shinobi Shaw-the 7th Sygn & they quickly came together to write a 20 minute set list of new material. When the two performed at 1am that chilly Sept morning, the crowds response was so overwhelming that they decided that the strength of the whole was greater than their two separate parts. Four months later Shinobi came to Ayce w/a proposition he could not turn down (his friends had been asking for copies of the one off material for months) & thus Stonecraft was formed. The next part of the process would be to find beats. Shinobi’s previous producer was busy on other projects as was Ayce’s. So Shinobi “tracked down”(cyber stalked) an old friend Drew who had been making the beat battle circuit & formed a production team called great music prod. After much begging & pleading he talked him into producing for the two even graciously recording and mixing for the group, only one piece was missing from the puzzle…. The all Important DJ. Ayce had that covered, he had been doing some shows w/an excellent DJ (who just so happened to do their set at the first Skully’s Show) DJ Schematics (Scheme for short) now they were unstoppable! In a few short months they would lay the groundwork for their forth coming Album. Doing shows to test the new material to rave reviews & very hungry crowds whom’ve waited w/baited breath for an actual copy of the promised Album…that wait is almost over…
