Music! that's what it's all about!
I started DJing in my early teens, rocked several clubs in Ludwigshafen, Mannheim and Heidelberg, namely Music Hall , Binah , Genesis , Hard Rock Club , Normal and lots of others. I worked in a record shop in Heidelberg called Klaatu influencing people who later formed german language rap combos like Stieber Twins and Advanced Chemistry and founded hugely succesful reocrd labels like UCA , Time Unlimited , Mole Listening Pearls , Plastic City and Planetary Consciousness .
As A&R at ZYX since 1992, I signed a lot of unbelievably cheesy and succesful Euro Trash like Rednex + Co.Ro feat. Taleesa , out of your head Techno stuff like Headbanger aka Teschnozabel aka Torsten Stenzel and I worked with Martin Barré , Motörhead and Die Puhdys .
In the mid-nineties I moved to Berlin to work for Hansa Musikproduktion GmbH , later known as BMG Berlin . I signed Spektacoolär , Halmakenreuther , Marijaka and Extrabreit and worked with producers Joachim Heider and Kai Diener on Marissa Turner 's first album. Later on I did some freelance A&R consulting for Columbia ( Anja Krabbe + Junia ), EMI ( Olli Banjo + Manon ) and joined forces with the good, the bad and the ugly at UnderCover Music Group . I managed Gorgeous Dean , the only decent band ever to come out of Künzelsau, until they imploded in a very sad way and -after all of this- I nevertheless still love Music! , thankyouverymuch!
