BEER AND DAMAGE

About Me

Beer and Damage is an internet based radio show hosted through Portland Radio Authority. They play all kindsa punk, garage, psych, soul, noise, and whatever the hell else they want. It's a lot of vinyl records and alcohol and sometimes that means funny shit happens on the air. Just like a record party at home or something.
It was started in 2007 by three dudes using the handles Blackice 10.5, mister punchy and Chinatown. Mr's. Ice and punchy could no longer make it down to the station and Chinatown, like in most things, is too dumb to quit.
It happens every other Monday night from 8 to 10 pm pacific time, streaming live from from PRA's website, right here in beautiful downtown Portland. They always have a revolving door of guest dj's besides just Chinatown and his records.
Archiving and/or podcasting is an idea they've been flirting with for some time and one of these days it'll happen. One of these days.
The show is committed to promoting independent bands/musicians and labels if they like what you're doing. Drop 'em a line if you got a show, are on tour, trying to sell records or have a place to host shows and need a little free publicity. They'll play your shit or plug your show or whatever.
UPDATE: As of January '09 Beer & Damage is no longer broadcasting at the PRA. It's been a fun run and B & D has very loose-knit plans to reemerge in some way in the future. Thanks for all the beers and all the fun. See you soon.
