In October 2008 two couples of brothers decided to set up their own recording studio in order to create Elephant.
The unconditioned expression of the personal musical inclinations is the means through which the band gives stylistic coherence to its own artistic production. Elephant therefore doesn’t frame its music into a fixed style. On the contrary the band tries to utilize its whole musical background in order to canalize the listener’s emotions through an ensemble of sensations which draws images that move step by step with the introspective lyrics.

Erik is the main author of the band and, together with his brother Andreas, he takes care of most harmonic structures of the songs. These structures are widely influenced by their musical background which is strongly spread in British and American rock, keeping, nevertheless, a mellow component derived from their Norwegian roots.
Vincenzo and Luigi are owners of the recording studio in which the project is produced. They are strongly focused on the technical result of the product by covering the roles of sound designer (the first) and sound engineer (the latter).
Elephant is a completely self-produced project: all compositions, arrangements, performances, recordings and graphic editings are done by the band members.
