Coming from the Capital City of California, Sacramento has its very own home grown comic- Kimmie Kay. She has risen up through the ranks, kicking down doors and declaring her right to be one of the great female comics in the 916.Kimmie Kay is a 31 year old single mom with two beautiful daughters. She states that since childhood there has always been a passion to be in the arts. Little did she know, it would be comedy rather than an actress or a singer.While learning her craft as an entertainer, Kimmie Kay began singing Karaoke, not letting her lack of singing talent deter her.In January 2008 Kim stepped out on faith and went to an open mic night in Sacramento. That led to many appearances she has made around Sacramento from attending several different open mic sessions to opening up for Dell Vandyke and BET’s Rodney Perry. She has also Auditioned for Bill Bellamy’s “We got Jokes” in LA, and not to forget she performs every Sunday at BT Kingsley’s Grown N Sexy Comedy.
