I have been happily married to my wonderful 2nd husband, Ron, for over 4 years now. We live
in Southeast Arizona where the weather is warm (most of the time). I retired from my job as a Case Manager at the beginning of 2007 and there just doesn't seem to be enough time to fit in everything we want to do together!
Part of my exploration into new and wonderful hobbies was a venture that was to become my passion - creating beautiful and wearable works of art, using gold-filled and sterling silver wire and gems. I started this last May after investing in 'how to' DVDs a little at a time. After I made and sold my first piece of jewelry I knew I was HOOKED and I haven't looked back since.
My little hobby has become a thriving business as I continue to receive orders for new pendants, rings and bracelets. Some members of my family were the recipients of some of my work at Christmastime and I thought the orders would slow down after that....but they haven't.
We also have an active website that we created Rockroost.com
which we started in 2003 to chronicle our other passion of rockhounding. It has grown to about 52 pages of news, tips, travel and we also have Arkansas Crystals, Geodes and LED light bases for sale. I haven't
had time to get a new page up on our website yet and we are thinking of developing a new site just for my jewelry.
