About Me

Me llamo Gian.

My name's Gian, and I've been living in Savannah Georgia for about eighteen years. I'm very open minded, so I'm willing to try new things. I'm Persian and fascinated in my heritage. Since I'm open to everything, I'm a pretty adventurous guy who's interested in exploring anything doing everything. I love to travel. I'm recently back from a trip to Valencia, Venezuela, which I've visited for the second time in a year and am currently attending my second year at Armstrong Atlantic State University.
I have been playing the piano for about thirteen years now, and continue playing as a hobby. I'm one of those guys that has grown up around that constant classical and romantic music influence. Music composition doesn't come very easily to me, but the interest is there, and can evolve into something genuine with some work applied. I've been interested in a Roland Fantom X-8, a weighted keyboard, that's one of the most state-of-the-art (IMO) keyboards on the market. I play mostly romantic and classical music and am continuing to play while in college.

In AASU I am in the Pre-Medicine program, but I'm thinking about focusing my major in Chemistry and Physics. It seems like I'm almost a natural at the sciences. Of course, the name of the game is: "If ya study, ya do fine. If ya don't, ya will not do fine." I work on campus as an AASU Ambassador, whose job is to provide tours and be at the open houses, to name a few things. Pretty much I work to try to recruit potential students to attend Armstrong for the following year.

My Interests

Music, Piano, Poker, Paintball, Halo, All things that involve the water (ie: Boating, Fishing, Swimming, Wakeboarding),

I'd like to meet:

I'm the kind of guy that you'll find getting involved out and around campus and trying to get the most fun out of something. Be it a university promotion, a game, or a farewell party on campus, chances are I'll be there doing something. For example, for AASU Day I built a calcium carbide cannon that was incorporated into the opening celebrations and a side attraction for the honors program and chemistry department. How cool is that? Other than that and traveling, I'm pretty alright being quiet and relaxing.*************************************************** ***********
UPDATED (03/02/06): TOPIC: FRIEND REQUESTS: I've decided to make a rule for any future friend requests I now recieve. Ya, I like meeting new people, and this rule should not discourage you at all from sending me a message just to say 'hey, how're you doing?'. However, with the rate of incoming requests that I've been recieving recently, I'm going to elaborate on this rule of mine, so that I will feel justified in my decision regarding accepting and denying people's requests. I'm not mean or unfriendly (I'm a very nice guy) - I just don't want a friends list filled with some large number of people I know nothing about.
So the rule's pretty simple: if I already know you (and you haven't done something that makes me dislike you, of course :) ), your Friend request is approved (also if you're from the same university, 'cause people here are cool). If I don't know you, I check your profile, and see who's on your EXISTING Friends list. If I see folks who are already on my list, I approve the request. If I see nobody I recognize, I decline it. Also, if your profile is marked as "Viewable to Friends ONLY", I'll accept, and if I don't know you or don't feel like I know you enough, I'll delete you.
Again - I'm not trying to snub anyone, or offend folks who just want to be a new friend. I'm simply looking for ways to keep things manageable. I guarantee you that if you are on my friend's list, I know you in some way. ************************************************************ **
UPDATED (03/30/07): TOPIC: MAP TRACKER: Probably the most flashy thing I have uploaded onto my profile. I just thought the tracker was neat.
