Antonio's Bio:
The idea of a Rock-Pop band that, even if Italian, would have adopted the sounds and the language of the Brit-Pop, would have armonized them into the warm and soft melodies of the American Rock and would have blended all together with the Italian rock scene background, came from a musical project of Giovanni Boscaini (Bass Guitar) and Sergio Lingeri (Guitar). The first from Loderia (Italian pop) and the second from Pop Art School (English Pop Rock), these the names of their old bands, started to play the first ideas with Andrea Iannaccone (Drum), Oranges’ ex drummer.
In the first months of 2008, Alessandro Razzi (voice and Guitar) ex Horla’(Italian Rock) leader, joined the group giving birth to “The Antonio’s Revenge†(name inspired from homonymus John Martston’s play (English writer of the 1600).
Few songs came out from the first simple arranged ideas, like “Lies no Longerâ€, “Little Heaven’s Hell†and “Better Than Myselfâ€, all included in the first 9-Track Demo Cd that the band arranged, produced and recorded in its own studio.
The Antonio’s Revenge played many gigs in small clubs at that time and during a concert in Milan the band met Gianni Nuzzi (Recording Producer, Singer, keyboard player and drummer) who started an interesting cooperation, as their producer, that would have provided for some track re-arrangement and for new ideas developing. Songs as “Time Square Lights†(inspired from a trip of the singer in the New York), “Weather manâ€, “Buy me a friend†and “Reach youâ€(dedicated to a school mate of the band members that died before his time in 2008) saw the light in the early 2008 summer. In the June 2008 Sergio Lingeri (lead guitarist) decided to leave the band. The Antonio’s Revenge became, with the new 3 members lineup, more grit and get a special and learned musical simplicity.
With 15 ready tracks and under Gianni Nuzzi’s artistic and executive production, the band started the recordings of its first Studio-Cd. The work was interrupted after only a month when the drummer, Andrea Iannaccone, left the group. Gianni Nuzzi, already the producer, became the new drummer. the recordings are still on the way.
The Cd will be probably released in the first months of 2010.
