“Listening to Reverend Vile is the musical equivalent of eating at Waffle House. It seems like a good idea while you’re high, but before you know it you’ve thrown up all over yourself and are rethinking your position on the matter.†- Actual Online Review
Reverend Vile is a self-described “Electronic Doom Music†artist, drawing influences from Industrial/Terror EBM and Death/Black/Doom Metal.
His musical journey began when he met Ghxst in 2007 and began using FL Studio. Originally making trip-hop style beats under the moniker Ringmaster, he soon began to venture into an EBM-style instrumental project. Over time however, Vile and Ghxst grew tired of the EBM scene, and wanted to branch into something different. Vile wanted to take the Terror EBM style and add his own touch, and henceforth has dubbed himself as “Electronic Doom Music†or EDM. He describes EDM as a slower, heavier, more experimental answer to EBM.
Reverend Vile lists the bands Velvet Acid Christ, Suicide Commando, Candlemass, Death, and Morbid Angel as some of his prime influences.
