Saucy Jack

I am a keyboardist living on Siesta Key Florida. My main gig was playing keys for Devon Allman's HoneyTribe from St. Louis, Missouri. I went to Indiana University and majored in Anthropology and Eastern Religious Studies. After IU, I moved to St. Louis in 1999 to join a touring Grateful Dead band called the Schwag, until late 2006, when I joined HoneyTribe.
THE KEY RATS-
I also play in a band called The Key Rats, primarily consisting of Pedro Arevalo, Garrett Dawson on drums, Cort Ferris on a variety of instruments including the pan steel. The Key Rats also rotate Duane Betts, Baine, Chris Gurton, and others. Look for the Key Rats Saturdays at Gilligan's on Siesta Key. The band is also known as The North Siesta Key All Stars, depending on how close to South Siesta Key we are.
KETTLE OF FISH-
I'm fortunate enough to play keys with Kettle of Fish from Sarasota Florida. KETTLE OF FISH is Dana Lawrence (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Sanderson Poe (standup and electric bass), Thorson Moore (guitar, vocals), Garrett Dawson/Cort Farris/Jimmy Faddon (drums, percussion steel drum). The new music is more of a roots based "blues jam with an edge" sound, performing the music of Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead, Robert Cray, BB King, Dave Matthews, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, The Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Clapton, and many sweet originals.
THE MATT GERHARDT ENSAMBLE AND DUMPSTER LOVE-
I also jam with with The Matt Gerhardt Emsamble as well as Dumpster Love (both bands are comprised of almost the same members). We play every Tuesday at The Beach Club on Siesta Key, Florida. The Ensamble is Matt G., acoustic guitar and vocals, Steve Duerst on bass, Nate Howell or Danny Brock on lead guitar, Diamond D. on percussion and vocals and me on Fender Rhodes...
INTERGALACTIC TRANSMITTER-
I am also involved in a side project with some of the best players I have ever met- Intergalactic Transmitter. IT is Pedro Arevalo on bass, the monumental James Vernado on drums, Thorson Moore on guitar and me on Hammond B3. We recorded with Garrett Dawson on percussion and Cort Ferris on pan steel.
SKYLAB-
SkyLab is Berry Oakley, Jr. on guitar and vocals, Steve Duerst on Bass, Jefe Arevalo on drums and me ..boards. We are occasionally joined by Pedro Arevalo on bass and/ or slide guitar. We play on Siesta Key and around Sarasota. The band performs a wide variety of rare rock & roll and classic blues tunes, as well as some of Berry's and the band's originals music.
SURE THING-
SURE THING is a dynamic band formed in the winter of 2008. SURE THING is Pedro Arevalo on guitar, Steve Duerst on bass, Jefe Arevalo on drums and me on the Rhodes electric piano and organ. The band performs jazz, blues, latin and original music. We play The Speakeasy on Siesta Key every Wednesday night at 10.
THE DHARMA BUMS-
The Dharma Bums is an acoustic duo consisting of Dana Lawerence from Kettle of Fish on guitar and vocals and myself on piano. We seek the truth every Monday night at The Beach Club on Siesta Key at 10:00.
