The Regels

About Me

Standing over 25 feet tall and weighing in at 700 pounds, the Regels exemplify a powerhouse rock'n roll band. Calling Chicago their home, The Regels have championed the cause that is just good rock music. The band formed in the winter of 2002 and is now playing in Chicago's premiere rock clubs. Singer Jimmy Turner says, After months and months of practice, calisthenics, drunken bar fights, and lawsuits, we think we're ready for the scrutiny of public consumption." Now getting airplay on Chicago's popular rock stations, 93.1 WXRT and 94.7 the Zone, this 3-piece has been described as lush, driving, well-written, regal, nuanced, layered, thoughtful, damn good and caught my ear immediately" by Richard Milne a DJ at 93.1 WXRT. Pulling together the eclectic tastes and influences from all 3 members, The Regels have a sound that hangs on the hinges of good guitar riff-rock with layers of emotion and depth. With heartfelt lyrics backed by an array of sounds, The Regels have been compared to one of the great Chicago bands, Wilco.
