About Me
With a unique singing style, Amanda has been compared to some of the greatest voices of our day such as: Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. Fresh melodies and mature lyrics mixed with a powerful and compelling vocal presentation sets Amanda apart from other singers on the scene today, making her one of the most talked about young talents to emerge from the Central Pennsylvania region in many years. Finding her voice as a regular vocalist in her church, school chorus and drama productions, Amanda grew her talent by singing at weddings and
other events. After pursuing her singing career over the last several
years, Amanda has entered the music business and is getting noticed
in a big way. Debuting at the York Fair in 2000, Amanda's bookings began pouring in for
local and regional performances. In January 2001, independent record label Bullet Records released "In Your Eyes", Amanda's debut CD. It immediately became the best selling local CD in the region "surpassing many major offerings" according to Border's Books. After the release, Amanda shared the stage with Country stars Tammy Cochran, Chris Cagle, Marshall Dyllon Band, Trick Pony, Mike Walker, and Cyndi Thomson. May of 2002 saw the release of her new CD "The Woman This Girl Is Going To Be". Following a successful trip to Nashville that same month, Amanda opened for National Recording Stars Mark Wills, Tommy Shane Steiner, Sons of the Desert & Brad Martin during the summer show season. Amanda attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and obtained her BA in Music and moved to Nashville TN where she lived till 2006. Currently back in PA, to take time out to write more of her own songs to share in the near future, Amanda is now a proud fixture of the funk band, Groove Jones!
