About Me

^^^IMPORTANT^^^
This NINTENDO joypad below is A PLAYER OF MUSIC. :) NEW SONG ARE THERE!!
28 one-bit songs! Chiptunes and digitals!
^^^IMPORTANT^^^
The Z80 chip is CPU of Timex 2048 / ZX Spectrum 48Kb
but it's also - with help of ULA - the main sound-chip
for these computers. I think that Z80 chip has the most beautiful sound in the world. :)

And who am I? I'm Mister Beep. The only musician who still make
micromusic/chiptunes for Z80 chip. It is not typical micromusic.
It is real ONE BIT music made using TIMEX 48Kb and its BEEPER.
As you can guess, the BEEPER music is generated by Z80 chip.
It has just 1 channel of sound (square wave only)
but 3,5Mhz CPU's activity (software mixing) gives me from 2 to 8 channels,
various modulations, noises, speech synthesis, drums, digital sound etc.
Still only 1 bit of course.

Sadly for now I don't have the best music editor/processor
(used by Tim Follin) as it seems hard to find nowadays.
But I still have quite a number of interesting 1-bit sound&music-editors
for Timex Sinclair/ZX Spectrum.
Currently I use various programs that give me
2 – 8 channels of 1 bit music.

If you have any better music editors for TIMEX/SINCLAIR's beeper,
please - let me know, or even better - just send them. ;)
It's worth to mention that the Z80 chip in Spectrum's GeneralSound card
is also used for playing digital 4-channel MOD music-files
from Amiga and PC. However in this case
the main Spectrum's Z80 CPU is totally free. :)
