JOE SHYCE

About Me

Almost 1 year after the release of the acclaimed "True to the Game" Joe Shyce returns with yet another solid solo effort for 2008. Bassik Music Group provide a head strong, well articulated album with such tracks as "I'm Sorry I'm Hood" a sort of ghetto ballad and the overly aggressive "We Takin' Over". With heat from in-house producers E. Deuce and R. Blades, Shyce City dares to venture into the hometown of this Yonkers based artist as he depicts the struggles and trials of his native streets. The Shyce City album offers a variety of tracks ranging from dance to hard core hip hop, proving that this year Shyce is ready for his first major recording deal. The Bassiks also boast appearances from such affiliated artist such blockbuster artist as Steely-one on the passionate, "Y-U Rap" and "Hoodie Season" as well as appearances from fellow label mates Young Spade, R. Blades, E. Deuce, A-Holla and Crisis. BMG anticipates an extraordinary year for the young artist, and welcome all to take a walk thru "Shyce City". PUT YOUR BIO SECTION HERE! Influences: The Lox, DMX, The streets of Y-O.Shyce City is a vivid look into the crime ridden streets of Yonkers, New York. Offering a full look into the life of this Yonkers native, Shyce City once again proves that a positive light can be found in all environments and inspires others to follow in it’s footsteps.True to the Game is also STILL available. Recognized as Shyce first attempt to secure his position amongst the best, he offers a barrage of what some may refer to as "swag". Shyce clearly lays down the foundation to this LP on the track "All I Want" produced by fellow label-mate R. Blades as well as the dramatic anthem, "Look at Me" produced by E. Deuce (BMG) This album is no longer available for download, for request please E-mail [email protected]
Sounds Like: R&B, Hip Hop and Rap (a littte bit of everything) Shyce City also ventures to revolutionalize the hip hop scene with the addition of Dance, Trance, and other attempts to widen the platform in which Shyce will perform. This "risky" addition to the album is the reason why "Shyce City" is a must have for all music lovers. Enjoy!
