I am a lover of music of all kinds (save some country and all polka). Growing up I a Igbo (Nigerian) household in the United States, I had a very unique sampling of musical genres to chose from: My Father's Nigerian Highlife and Soukus, My mother's Christian Igbo hyms, my brothers introduced my to Reggae, Dancehall and Soca & Calypso, My Hometown D.C. gave me Go-go, Hip-Hop (not Rap) and R&B, My girl Onye and my best friend James gave me Alternative Rock, My best friend Malik (who will turn the world of music upside down one day) has always been my musical kindred, My mentor gave Soul music, Howard University gave my first real stage (Ira Aldridge Theater and a love the school I eventually graduated from[Bschool '02]) and I kinda stumbled on Contemporary and Smooth Jazz.
All of these influenced my sound that seems to continously evolve. I give GOD all the thanks and praise for this gift of music and all the angels he placed before me to nourish that love and I pray I can do this 'til my dying day.
