Who am I? Sometimes I wonder myself as I enter into my zone of introspection deep within my mind. There are many sides to me just as there are many hues of color in the world, but who am I? I am you, I am my mother, my slave ancestors...I am everyone who has touched my soul or influenced me. I am me... I am a strong brother weathered and tattered by time and molded in the image of our God. My spirit has been forged by the burning flame of my experiences... I am but a product of my environment. An environment full violence, fear and self loathing yet here I stand out the midst of all that and I have endured...I am here. I am humble as ever, knowing that without those who have helped me along the way, I would be but a shell of what I am today, what I am aspiring to be and what I will evolve into because I am but a work in progress. But here I stand....Determined, Proud and Thankful...I am me.
