I was born in Pharr texas on 11/14/1978 and Raised in Mission Texas. I attended La Joya High school and later joined the MARINE CORPS. I somehow ended up in Minneapolis Minnesota where I met my now wife with which I have two beautiful boys and 1 beautiful daughter. I am the Owner, Promotor, Lead Singer, sound engineer, of my band MISION NORTENA. I have composed over 25 songs mostly corridos but some love songs and cumbias also. I used to sing for a band called ISLA TROPICAL but decided to go into my Norteno style music. MISION NORTENA recorded its first cd independendetly with GEORGE ROQUE productions and titled the cd HACIA YA TIEMPO. We were looked upon by HACIENDA RECORDS out of CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS and they re did our cd and titled it ERES BONITA. You can now listen and buy our cd on their website www.haciendarecords.com I play a bit of accordion but im just learning my main job is to sing. I love to hunt and fish and spend my time outdoors. I love hunting doves, duck, geese, deer, pheaseants and whatever is legal. I just got into bowhunting in 2007 and i shot my first doe with a bow. currently studying criminal law at rasmussen college to become a police officer

ESPANOL: Hola mi nombre es David Pena naci en PHARR TEXAS un 11/14/78 y pase mi infancia en Mission texas frontera con Reynosa Tamaulipas. Yo gradue de la escuela La Joya High en el 97 despues me fui a la infanteria de marina y luego vine a minneapolis minnesota porque mis padres estaban aca. Me meti a cantar con un grupo ISLA TROPICAL dure como un ano a dos anos y luego decidi aventarme a la musica nortena que es lo que me gusta y comense a comprar equipo el 1 de Enero 2005 lanse a mi grupo MISION NORTENA. Yo soy el dueno, compositor, promotor vocalista y ingeniero de sonido. Acabamos de firmar con el sello de HACIENDA RECORDS de Corpus Christi Texas. Yo estoy aprendiendo a tocar el acordeon un poco pero me falta aun mucho por aprender. Mi trabajo principal es ser el vocalista.
