FILM MAKERS - INDY FILMS - SHORT FILMS - WE WANT YOU!!!!
In 1995 Charles Kramer (chakravision.com) and Benoir (musicnoir.com) co-created mixed media shows at the University of Miami with Sean Fleck - Architects of Tomorrow , later bringing the events to crowds in New York and Connecticut. Projecting/screening short films, cartoons, independent films, and combining free jazz and other elements like spoken word poetry, the two received reviews from NBC and love from a whole generation of film heads. Benoir directed groups of improvising musicians to score the films live without having viewed them before. The music spanned all sorts of genres including drone rock, reggae, funk, jazz standards, fusion jazz, blues, etc.
Much has happened since the early beginnings of the FILM ARTS REVOLUTION, but we are now in the position to re-ignite the good times, and we are looking for young & energetic, or even lazy ass - film makers, and people who dig the underground film scene. Avant-Garde, Anime, Computer generated, Film Noir, Slide Shows, Erotic stuff (with some taste please) We are searching for YOUR WORK. Are you at NYU, Columbia, or The NY Film Academy? Are you an actor who appeared in a great short that nobody ever saw on a big screen? Are you looking for an inside connection to some pros in the music/film industry that have worked with celebrities as big as Hugh Hefner, Gene Simmons, New Line Cinema, WB, and many others? Well we are putting together multi-media series in the NYC, Los Angeles, and Hawaii areas that'll feature all of this and more. DJ's with Visual pieces, Film makers, actors, production heads, we want you to join the Revolution of art and music as we spearhead our new party. THE FILM ARTS REVOLUTION (F.A.R.)
Our first event in MARCH featured two Indy films "He's My Dad" by the Mensher Bros. and "Democratie En France" by Steve Kramer.
