About Me

I think it was about the end of 1994 when I first got active in music. This was around the time I bought my first guitar (a Vantage... still have it). I somewhat simultaniously started with a punk-rock band called "The Minority" and an "armageddoncore" project called "C.S.H.". While the punkband never left the rehearsalroom, "C.S.H." actually got featured on some D.I.Y.-punk tapes (and a CD).
"C.S.H." faded away somehwere in 1998 (one of the last songs we did, "Childmolester" got featured on "Open The Cages..."). In the meantime (must have been around 1996) I screamed in a grindcore project, then called "Incarcerated", with some guys from the HGV area. This also didn't leave the rehearselroom.
With a friend of mine I also did 2 projects, namely "Matricide" and "Fulminate" in 1998. Both got featured on D.I.Y.-punk tapes. While one being more atmospheric industrial with grunts, the other can be labeled as "digital punk/grindcore".
1998 was also the year I started doing tracker stuff on my old Amiga 1200. This brutal "digital grindcore/armageddoncore" -project was called "Reetplukker". I did this under the nickname " Corpus Christi" (which I adopted for "C.S.H." . With "Reetplukker" I did a D.I.Y.-split-cd with " Mood". This was released by Henk Biertank (bass-player of "Roggel"). There were some more songs recorded (which were even faster), but I don't seem to remember that these were released. Anyway, my Amiga died and so did the tracker-stuff I did.
After this I was the singer/grunter for "Iconoclast". I did a few gigs with this death metal band and got noticed for my vocals. While in "Iconoclast", I also started rehearsing with Fredda and Rob. The band we formed was called "Mortar" at first, but later renamed into "Massive Assault". I did some gigs with this (still awsome) band and recorded the vocals for their demo's. Yet, I had to quit, mostly because of time.
Somewhere around the same time, I started to work with a tracker again (Madtracker) on my newly bought PC. The results where never released, but I did this under the monnicker "SilverMoon. I changed my nickname from "Corpus Christi" to " SilverMoon". "SilverMoon" sounded more like an edgy, yet amateuristic form of electro.
After "SilverMoon" I got back with my old mate and started working on a project called "Ermous Cerca". This evolved back into "SilverMoon", because I did most of the programming myself (with help of his older melodies).
Leaving all of the "Ermous Cerca/SilverMoon"-songs behind, I took up the project name "SDF SilverMoon" and created some new stuff, which can be considered heavier.
I also started to sing some death metal tunes again with my old bandmates Fredda and Rob again under the name "The Exalted". Rob left after a while, but Fredda and I will continue this onslaught!
And now I think it's time to leave the name "SDF SilverMoon" behind (or put on ice) and continue under a different name, while still using " SilverMoon" as my nickname! "SDF SilverMoon" won't be a suitable name for what I want to create at the moment. I want to create heavier and more extreme music again....
I might still create some tunes under the banner of "SDF SilverMoon" somewhere in the future, but now it's time for more heavier stuff!
I'm still thinking of a new name for the project. There are some name-candidates, but you'll know soon enough!
I also would like to do some more (vocal/recording) projects in the future. So....
The battle will continue!
